Representing the citizens the municipal assembly
Plenary Session of th Municipal Assembly.
Composed of 28 elected councillors, the Municipal Assembly
is the organ which deliberates and decides the basic,
important matters of local government, such as the budget
and ordinances, on behalf of the citizens. Ordinary meetings
of the regular assembly are held four times a year, and
extra-ordinary meetings are held as necessary.
The regular assembly meets in March, June, September and
December and appints 4 standing committees to deal with
general affairs, education and public welfare,
construction and economics.
