HITA THROUGH THE SEASONS

Spring:
The mountains turn pink,
dyed with a profusion of cherry blossoms.
Through the blossom petals fluttering in the
breeze, can be seen the Hita New Media School,
which plays a leading role in the promotion of
information technology: the two faces of Hagio
Park.

Summer:
On summer evenings,
cormorant fishing and banquets held in
houseboats on Mikuma River are scenes that
show the wealth of atmosphere in
Hita.

Autumn:
One of the three
best-loved points in Hita, Jigenzan. Its long
history and crimson leaves in deepening
autumn, turn the visitor into a
poet.

Winter:
A very atmospheric
season, with Mt. Tsukikuma, the Kagetsu River,
and the town of Mameda, clad in a blanket of
white.
